About the role:


Our client has opened an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ruby on Rail Developer. This is a fantastic role which offers the chance to work closely with the Directors on several projects which are instrumental to the business. It is based in a beautiful, restored chapel in the East Riding.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create simple and intuitive web applications for a range of different use cases

  • Create and maintain React Native mobile applications

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain your applications

  • Own front-end and back-end development for your applications

  • Design, build and maintain API infrastructure that allows for integration between different services and third-party systems (Sage)

  • Work effectively with team managers, other engineers, and business stakeholders on projects

  • Communicate technical ideas and lead projects with a focus on solving real world business challenges


So, is this you?

  • Experience in developing with Ruby on Rails

  • Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Competency in key coding concepts (e.g. MVC) and the ability to learn new technologies.

  • Experience with source control such as Git.

  • Experience with React Native

  • An analytical mind - a passion for solving problems.

  • The ability to work autonomously, as well as collaborate within a team on project-based work.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Experience with TDD.

  • Experience with Postgres or other relational DBs.
