About the role:
Our client is looking for a QA Tester to join their expanding team.
As a QA tester you will be responsible for the testing of new software products and features to ensure that software satisfies all specifications and requirements. You will be defining the tests, setting up automated testing, identifying any problems and helping to debug issue.
Responsibilities:
Working with the test lead to write the User Acceptance Test (UAT) strategy for software release
Carrying out the manual UAT of software releases, ensuring they meet the company’s quality criteria.
Raising trouble tickets and working with the development teams to help resolve the issues
Help ensure the training documentation is kept up to date
Support the Business Analysts with the writing of new feature specifications, ensuring there are clear acceptance criteria.
Supporting the program manager and scrum master to help prioritise tickets
Attending daily scrum meetings
Working with product support to analyse and find solution to bugs
Primary Activities:
Writing test strategy for new software releases
Software testing of new software features
Support test automation initiatives
Plan and implement Performance and Load testing / benchmarking
Able to work on multiple projects within the project time frames
Attend daily SCRUM meetings and work directly with developers
Stakeholder relationship management, with the ability to communicate and present to a range of audiences and reaching consensus between different needs
Skills:
Experience of testing cloud-based software
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
Have an Agile mindset and able to handle changing business needs & priorities
The ability to motivate others and lead change
The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes
A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
Strong analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
Able to grasp new technologies and identify how that can be used in the product
A strong interest in business and business development
A good understanding of information technology
Essential Experience:
At least one year of software test experience
User Acceptance testing
Experience of gathering and documenting test acceptance criteria
Working knowledge of XML/ SQL
Desirable:
Scrum master experience
Financial/Account/Credit Control knowledge and understanding will be a huge benefit.
Knowledge of SaaS solutions especially AWS
Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development
Knowledge of Behat
Knowledge of Jira/Bitbucket software
Understand system data structures, data flows and understand IT landscapes, API development, system design principles and can influence the direction of systems development
