Business Analyst

Swindon

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team in their new office located in Swindon. The company have opened this incredible opportunity due to continuous growth and expansion.

Responsibilities;

• Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole

• Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service/function/product provided

• Requirement's elicitation – gathering requirements from across the business and external stakeholders

• Negotiate with product owners/business experts on alternative solutions

• Work with the product owners to make sure requirements are clear and agreed

• Create JIRA tickets with detailed requirements that developers can following during development

• Partner with developers on reviewing user stories for understanding and scoring

• Partner with product owners/SMEs to define & refine acceptance criteria

• Write out tests that the developers will use to test their code against and for sign off

• Facilitate and support product backlog management

• Perform/coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure functionality meets business needs before each product release

Essential experience;

• A strong interest in product and product development

• Write succinct and clear user stories

• Write full test cases for these user stories

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties

• The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes

• A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change

• Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach

• A good understanding of information technology.

Desirable:

• Tester and/or Developer experience

• Worked in an agile environment

• Background in consultancy

• BCS International Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent

• Experience with Behaviour Driven Development

• Behat experience
