Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated 3rd Line Technical Project Consultant to join its Projects team based at the Princes Risborough office reporting into the Senior Project Manager.
The client provides a comprehensive range of hands-on ICT and computing support, MIS support, GDPR services, consultancy, and training to over 900 schools and we now employ more than 135 people across London and the South East. As a member of the Project team, you will provide technical expertise to all areas of the project development and delivery process, this includes initial presales technical requests and full solution designs and specifications for larger projects and tenders. You will deal with technical specifications and issues relating to project work, engage with the appropriate team members across the company to support the development and delivery of project work at all levels.
You will be responsible for designing and documenting technical specifications to a high level, you will be expected to liaise with stakeholders at all levels across the company, Schools, and contractors to ensure schedules and projects are on track and to specification. The role requires strong organisational skills, and you will need to understand and create complex schedules of work and manage project processes and procedures. You will be a positive and proactive communicator both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
Help manage the communication workflow for projects and presales related work Be a key contact for project related queries and issues
Work as part of the Project Team in Princes Risborough, always ensuring the customer experience is handled professionally and appropriately in terms of timely response, clear communication, and action plans to address any concerns and questions that are raised
Provide great communication with schools and internal teams, ensuring schools and TIO teams are always kept up to date with relevant information
Create and manage technical design specifications for projects and presales work Understand customer and project technical requirements and document as required Resolve and manage any technical issues that are affecting the efficient running of project processes as quickly as possible
Create technical documentation to a high-level including diagrams and schedules of work
Skills/Abilities
Project Management experience including creation of schedules and project plans, as well as PM processes and procedures
Experience of Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, Office 365, Google Workplace, Networking (VLANS, routing & design), Storage including SAN & NAS, as well as AD, DNCP, DNS, GPO.
Very organised with the ability to understand and create detailed project plans and schedules of work
Outstanding levels of customer service with positive and pro-active communication skills both verbal and written
Experience of managing ICT projects from inception through to completion
The role is offered on a full-time basis and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to drive and have your own vehicle.
In return, we are offering a salary of between £28,000 - £36,000 FTE negotiable for the right person, benefits include Pension scheme, Eye care voucher scheme, Cycle Scheme, Mental Health First Aid and Employee Assistance Programme.
